Foreman Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
Dennis “Red” Patrouille, Waupun Utilities Water and Sewer maintenance foreman, recently received the 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Wisconsin Rural Water Association (WRWA). Patrouille received the honor at the WRWA Annual Conference on March 25.
The WRWA Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated a lifetime of excellence in the field of waterworks operations, WRWA’s highest award for dedication and service to the community.
“I am happy for Red,” said Utility Manager Zak Bloom. “Receiving this award is a culmination of his many years of dedication to the customers of Waupun Utilities. Red is held in high regard by his fellow employees, and this award shows he is also held in high regard by his colleagues throughout the State of Wisconsin.”
Patrouille has served the community of Waupun since 1983 in a variety of capacities, including active participation in the Rural Water small system working with small system program. As the Water and Sewer Maintenance Foreman for Waupun Utilities, Patrouille directs employees assigned to maintain water distribution and wastewater collection systems. He is the direct contact for local contractors and development projects, and also troubleshoots customer water and wastewater issues. His knowledge of Waupun’s water and wastewater system is an integral part of offering excellent service to the Utilities’ 4500 customers.
