Bill Payment Assistance

For some customers, including seniors on fixed incomes, energy expenses can be a financial burden. In fact, there are those right here in our community who cannot afford the energy to meet their basic needs.

For those who cannot afford such an expense, this can lead to difficult decisions about how to allocate their limited resources. The State of Wisconsin Energy Assistance Program is designed to help income-qualifying households cover their energy costs and reduce the financial burden that they face.

If you or someone you know may qualify, we encourage you to establish your income eligibility through the federally funded Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP). To learn more about the WHEAP application process, customers should contact the following county departments:

  • Dodge County residents contact Energy Services, Inc., at 920-887-7925
  • Fond du Lac County residents contact County Social Services at 920-929-3445

If approved for WHEAP, you will receive more information about your eligibility for the state's Energy Assistance Program at that time.

Waupun Utilities supports the Department of Administration programs specifically set aside for income-qualifying individuals and families by forwarding fifty percent (50%) of funds collected through the Commit to Community program.
